How to put books or documents onto ANY kindle app or tablet from ANY webiste or email. How to put books or documents onto ANY kindle app or tablet from ANY webiste or email
Here's how to put e-books onto your kindle – or the kindle app on your phone or onto a non-kindle tablet. - This is for any books or documents you got from somewhere other than Amazon.
The Kindle is a great e-reader – I write children's books – the Act Normal series which are in the top 3 best-seller list of kindle chapter books right now – they're great fun – either as e-books or as physical books, so if you or anyone you know has young kids, just type Act Normal into Amazon and check them out, and I'd really love to hear what you think.
As I say, the kindle is a great e-reader but by default you're only ever going to get books and documents from Amazon – so here's a quick and easy way to wirelessly get documents and books from other sources onto your kindle.
When you set up your kindle – or download a kindle app, you automatically get given an email address for that device.
You can find it in the settings on the device or on the amazon website.
What you need to do is log in to amazon, go to the manage your content and devices section.
Go to settings and scroll down. You'll see each device you've got listed and each has an email address – whether it's a kindle or an ipad or some other device (tablet or phone) on which you've installed kindle software.
Make a note of the address then go further down to find the section on email addresses you can send from – your device will only accept books and docs send from this address – this is to stop people sending books to you without you approving it.
Now create an email if your address isn't in there
Now it's all set up.
So lets say you download a book from Barnes and Noble or Smashwords or somebody sends you a document you need to read as an attachment. Just create a quick email, click attach, find the file on your disk and send it. (I've got another video on where to find free books so check that out if you're looking for stuff to put on your kindle)
A few minutes later, the email will arrive on your device – it'll also turn up on Amazon cloud so you can download it to any other kindle apps you might have.
One tip here is that if you put the word “convert” in the subject of the email, Amazon will automatically convert your document into a native kindle format which might make it easier to read.
So, once more, if you're looking for presents for young children, please type Act Normal into Amazon – I try to keep the price of my books as low as possible, and they're great fun for children, so check them out. And that's it. I hope you've found this useful.
